De Remington S5525 Pro-Ceramic Extra is populair vanwege de extra brede keramische platen, waardoor het apparaat zeer geschikt is voor dik, lang of golvend haar. De temperatuur is instelbaar tussen 150°C en 230°C en het apparaat is binnen 15 seconden klaar voor gebruik. Gebruikers waarderen vooral hoe snel en glad het haar wordt, zelfs bij moeilijk te temmen lokken. Een belangrijk nadeel is dat de buitenkant erg heet kan worden, waardoor je moet oppassen voor brandwonden. Ook is het apparaat minder geschikt voor het maken van golven en wordt de meegeleverde opbergtas als goedkoop ervaren. Over het algemeen is het een krachtige stijltang voor wie snel en efficiënt steil haar wil, maar voorzichtigheid is geboden bij gebruik.
