De LG OLED evo C5 42C54LA (2025) biedt een van de beste beeldkwaliteiten in het 42-inch segment, met diepe zwartwaarden, hoge helderheid en uitstekende HDR-prestaties. Vooral gamers profiteren van de 4K/144Hz, VRR en extreem lage input lag. De AI-beeldverwerking zorgt voor scherpe details en goede upscaling. Wel is het geluid matig en mist het kracht, dus een soundbar is aan te raden. In donkere scènes kan het kleurvolume dalen, en HDR10+ en DTS ontbreken. De afstandsbediening is verouderd. Voor wie een compacte, topklasse OLED zoekt, is dit model een sterke keuze, maar houd rekening met de genoemde nadelen.

I’m really happy with my new LG OLED42C54LA. The picture is lovely, really clear, and the colours look great. The blacks are very deep as well, which makes films and programmes look much better. It was easy enough to set up and it looks smart in the room. I also like that it doesn’t feel too big, but you still get that proper OLED quality. Overall, I’m very pleased with it and would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking about buying one.

I ordered an LG OLED48C54LA online and picked it up last week at the Stockport branch of Richer Sounds. The service at the store was fantastic, it was easy to collect my order and I was helped to carry it out and load it into the car. The TV was easy to set up and, straight out f the box, the picture was superb even in a bright room. With a few tweeks, e.g. turning off the energy saving functions and using film maker mode, it's even better. I find the remote easy to use and the menus fairly intuitive. The only downside is that the sound quality using the TV speakers doesn't match the the quality of the rest of the package but that's not an issue for me as I'm using the optical digital out into a pair of active speakers. Overall, with Richer Sounds competitive pricing and fantastic service and a super product, it was a great experience all round.
