Dior Pure Poison is een krachtige witte bloemenparfum met vooral jasmijn, gardenia en oranjebloesem. De geur opent scherp en citrusachtig, maar wordt al snel romig bloemig en blijft daarna vrij lineair. Veel gebruikers prijzen de enorme houdbaarheid en sterke sillage; met één à twee sprays ruik je hem gemakkelijk de hele dag en laat je een duidelijk spoor achter. Dat maakt hem ideaal voor liefhebbers van uitgesproken, elegante geuren. Tegelijk is dit ook de grootste keerzijde: Pure Poison wordt vaak als zeer intens en soms zelfs verstikkend ervaren, zeker in kleine ruimtes of bij te royaal sprayen. De witte bloemen kunnen bij gevoelige dragers hoofdpijn geven en de geur is sterk polariserend: veel mensen vinden hem prachtig, anderen juist afstotend. Wie zachte, gourmand of subtiele parfums zoekt, kan deze beter eerst testen in plaats van blind te kopen.

I had this years ago and could easily tell all day I was wearing it. Husband got me the Pure Poison Perfume and put it on and within one hour could only smell it on me when he came close to my neck. I am very disappointed, This used to smell amazing, have they changed the formula or cut corners. Think I will stick to Penhaligon in the future, a bit more expensive but at least it lasts longer than 1 hour on my skin.
