Ubiquiti UniFi USW-16-POE

Door de zeer goede ervaringen met de accespoints van Ubiquiti deze switch aangeschaft. Deze heb ik geprobeerd in combinatie met de unifi controller op de cloudkey gen 2. Aansluiten van de accespoints is door de aanwezige poe zeer eenvoudig. Ook het instellen hiervan via de controller gaat prima. Maar IPTV heb ik niet werkend gekregen helaas. Zelfs met de TV setopboxjes rechtstreeks in de Fritzbox router aangesloten wil de tv niet werken, zodra je de Ubiquiti switch in het netwerk hangt. Dit geld ook voor de US8-60 W. Dat had ik niet verwacht in deze prijsklasse.

Een mooi apparaat voor de ietwat doorgeslagen thuishobbyist of mkb. Aangeschaft wegens degelijkheid en PoE+ functie.

This switch would not work with our UniFi system. We have an existing UniFi ToughSwitch with 8 UniFi APs connected to it all working fine. When we migrated the connections to this switch, no link lite, no activity lights. Nothing. The Controller sees the switch but there is no link. Had to return it. Wish UniFI did a better job of support pre and post sale.

I use this in a home setting with a segmented network. VLAN set up and segmentation is easy to configure in the UniFi controller. PoE power is abundant and more then I need for the equipment I need so I am underutilizing it, but it is performing as expected and keeps all the connected devices running and communicating.

Good product but needed to update firmware before I could use it with access points.
