Weleda Perineum Massage Oil 50 ml Massage Gel & Olie Dames

I used this from around 34 weeks to assist with perineal massaging. It makes it a much more comfortable process with no irritation from the oil. A lot also goes a long way so have only needed the one bottle. I would highly recommend and suggest it to all my pregnant friends.

I used the Weleda Perineum Massage Oil from 34 weeks to perform perineal massage as per the recommendation from my physio. A little goes a long way with this oil and despite using it for several weeks the bottle is still nearly full. I would have preferred to purchase a smaller bottle at a lower price point. But I will use this oil as a body oil especially as it is certified natural and free from synthetic ingredients. I was pleased that I had no sensitivity to this oil and the aroma is pleasant.

I was advised by the doctors to do perineum stretching from 36 weeks so I bought this oil to try. Personally I felt the oil was a bit thin and didn't seem to help more than just using water in the shower to do the stretching. The oil had a mild pleasant fragrance and didn't cause any irritation or discomfort but I didn't really feel it benefitted me much overall.

I was struggling with back ache throughout my first and second trimester so I tried many options to try and relax to ease the tension. When I found this product I used it once a night after a bath and not only did it relax me the scent of it seem to calm my nerves. I was much more comfortable after a few weeks of using this and only had the odd ache afterwards.

I started using this oil 2 weeks ago and I am a bit disappointed. It is not a very thick oil and you only get a drop everytime you try to put some products on your hands. I didn't find the feeling very comfortable. I might try another one. the instructions on the paper are not very clear, I recommend checking Youtube Video.
