Was not intending buy these earphones but the very personable trainee member of staff introduced these Sony WF-1000XM5 earphones to me. Not only were they significantly cheaper than the ones I was looking at but they sound marvelous. I am delighted with them and would recommend them wholeheartedly.

These actually exceeded expectations and the price is reasonable compared to their competitors. Noise cancelling is very good, especially with music playing. The ambient sound feature is very useful when I'm walking the dog and want to be aware of my surroundings or when I need to hear the doorbell. Works well with digital assistants and the tap controls on the buds are quite comprehensive. It's great to have notifications read out to me as well. Great sound and very useful EQ features. Highly recommended.

Really good headphones, with great sound and functionality. Once you select the right sized buds for your ears (all supplied) they are very comfortable. Fantastic detail for a pair of buds. Only reason I am knocking off a mark is that when you are in crowds the Bluetooth can become a bit erratic and cut out. Hopefully this will be improved in future firmware updates, but it is a minor quibble as it only happens in very crowded spaces.

Early days so far but I am impressed. The fit test is especially good. Once I got the right tips in the sound was hugely better.
