De Sony HT-S400 biedt indrukwekkende audiokwaliteit voor zijn betaalbare prijs, met heldere dialogen en krachtige bas die films en muziek tot leven brengen. Het systeem presteert uitstekend bij stereo-inhoud zoals TV-programma's en muziek, waarbij de draadloze subwoofer zorgt voor voelbare impact in bas-rijke genres. De eenvoudige installatie en handige functies zoals Night Mode en Voice Mode maken het ideaal voor appartementen en kleine ruimtes. Kopers moeten echter rekening houden met enkele beperkingen: het ontbreken van Dolby Atmos-ondersteuning betekent dat je geen gebruik kunt maken van moderne ruimtelijke audioformaten op streamingdiensten, en de 2.1-kanaals configuratie biedt geen echte surround sound-ervaring. De lage bas ontbreekt enigszins vergeleken met premium modellen, en connectiviteitsopties zijn beperkt tot HDMI ARC, optisch en Bluetooth. Voor wie een significante upgrade zoekt van TV-speakers zonder complexe multi-speaker opstelling, biedt de HT-S400 uitstekende waarde, maar audiofilen die op zoek zijn naar immersieve surround sound of geavanceerde functies zouden beter kiezen voor duurdere alternatieven.

I don’t know if it’s the sound bar or the TV that isn’t working well with each other but sometimes the sound is incredibly loud and other times you can’t hear a thing. The connection isn’t great either with my LG TV, I have tried the optical connection, HDMI ARC and Bluetooth and all are annoying bc you have to control the volume by the soundbar remote or by the TV and the sound level is always off. Sounds nice though when you hear it, it’s just how loud you are hearing it that’s uncontrollable.

It stopped turning on in 6 month's, and not worth the money it would cost to ship it for the warranty coverage. I basically spent $178 on trash. Very disappointing.

Easy to install. HDMI cable not included I bought one. Music is great but feel the voice sound is not sharp, you do get use to it, good value for money

Quality is exceptional for price. This sound system sounds great for all of my needs and expectations. After a year of owning, I notice the subwoofer cutting out periodically for short moments. Knowing it cuts out is my reason for 3 stars

Lousy warranty. Died 6 Months out of warranty sound bar died. All Sony would do is pay for 1/2 of the repair. I had to provide box., pay shpping and wait for repair estimate. It was hard to find a customer service phone number and they don't advertise their hours.
