They seem to install and fit fine in my LS4278 units. I cannot speak to battery life or all that because my units don't get used too much. So there aren't all-day tools for me. But these work well enough that they were a fine replacement for my needs. So far, I'd recommend them.

The batteries were an exact match to the original, very strange, batteries (3 AA's wrapped together with a tiny connection)
