The iPhone app is not functional for the initial setup. I advise you to perform the setup via a PC.

The ASUS RT-BE92U is very good for large multi-level houses. It delivers remarkably fast speeds in close quarters, but its range is somewhat limited by a 5GHz band that slows down at long distances. Still, this router delivers performance that's more than suitable for a bandwidth-heavy family with many wireless devices. Also, you can expand your network with additional routers since this router is compatible with AiMesh. It has several high-speed networking ports so you can leverage a multi-gigabit internet connection. It's somewhat large, however, so it could be difficult to find a place for it in your home.

I purchased the RT-BE92U with the intention of pairing it with my Asus RT-AX86U. The presence of the 6 GHz band allows me to connect my computers via Wi-Fi 6E. The build quality of the router is satisfactory. The initial setup when starting up is fairly straightforward. The Wi-Fi band settings are fairly easy to configure, but some parameters require a certain amount of knowledge. In terms of speed, the router offers decent performance. The router heats up because it only has 1GB of RAM. The 10Gbps Base-T port loses connection when connected directly to a 10Gbps SFP+ port. It is necessary to use an SFP+ to RJ45 10Gbps converter. The 6 GHz band has a limited range, and the 5 GHz band is less powerful than the AX86. In short, the RT-BE92U is a decent router, despite the bugs encountered, but if I had to do it again, I would opt for the RT-BE86 or BE88, as I doubt that the RT-BE92U offers the same longevity as my AX86U.

The asus router didnt work properly from day one, suffering with high latency consistently, wifi drop outs which would require a manual reboot, countless times im woken up for work and everything was offline. The item has been returned for a replacement but not holding my breath as other reviews are just as bad relating to a firmware issue thats been ongoing for far too long. I reverted back to my pre ions asus router and everything is back stable, reason for thr upgrade was I upgraded my broadband and needed a router that was able to gove maximum output, this router is not that as its just buggy whether it be hardware or firmware.
