Versace Eros Eau de Parfum bouwt voort op de originele Eros EDT, maar voelt iets volwassener, zachter en eleganter. De opening combineert appel, munt en citroen met een zoete hout-vanille basis, maar de EDP is minder overdreven zoet en minder schreeuwerig dan de EDT. Veel reviewers melden een goede houdbaarheid rond de 7 tot 8 uur, met een comfortabele, meer ingetogen projectie. Daardoor is deze versie veelzijdig: hij werkt goed voor avonden, dates, uitgaan en zelfs op kantoor, zolang je niet te veel sprayt. Tegelijk geven meerdere bronnen aan dat de projectie merkbaar zwakker is dan bij de EDT en Parfum, waardoor hij minder opvalt in drukke omgevingen en gemiddeld wat minder complimenten oplevert dan andere Eros-flankers. Voor wie een volwassenere Eros zoekt zonder extreme zoetheid en sillage, is dit echter een gebalanceerde keuze.

With the current temperatures, it is difficult to find a good perfume that still smells nice and doesn’t overwhelm you. Versace Eros Energy is my absolute go-to scent for this. The fragrance opens with a hefty dose of citrus notes and a hint of grapefruit that personally reminds me of the Nimm 2 soft candies. Overall, I find the scent remains relatively linear throughout and doesn’t necessarily shine with complexity. But that’s exactly what I like about this fragrance. From start to finish, you simply get a fresh scent that doesn’t go wrong. The longevity is not outstanding at 5-6 hours, but with this scent profile, it’s almost to be expected. Additionally, Eros Energy is relatively affordable, which makes reapplying throughout the day manageable. In short: If you’re looking for a lemon bomb and just want to smell fresh without having to think about anything else, you’re in the right place. If you want more than that, you might want to look at other fragrances.
