De iPhone 16 biedt solide prestaties dankzij de nieuwe A18-chip die tot 60% sneller is dan zijn voorganger en geoptimaliseerd is voor AI-taken. Het camerasysteem met 48MP Fusion-sensor en verbeterde ultrawide lens levert indrukwekkende foto's en maakt voor het eerst spatial video mogelijk. De batterij gaat tot 22 uur mee bij video afspelen, een verbetering ten opzichte van eerdere modellen. Nieuwe functies zoals de Camera Control-knop en Action-knop maken het toestel veelzijdiger. Potentiële kopers moeten echter rekening houden met het 60Hz-scherm zonder ProMotion, wat achterloopt bij concurrenten. Ook is de USB-C-poort beperkt tot trage USB 2.0-snelheden. Het scherm gebruikt PWM-dimming voor helderheidscontrole, wat bij gevoelige personen oogklachten kan veroorzaken. Voor wie een betaalbaar instapmodel zoekt met moderne functies is dit een uitstekende keuze, maar wie hoogste verversingssnelheden of snellere dataoverdracht nodig heeft, moet verder kijken.

Happy with the phone, not happy that I feel like I was duped into a contract. So I guess buyer beware. Phone was listed at $48 with a monthly bill of “$50” turns out that’s before tax & all the added charges & the phone was $48 THAT DAY…another $20 something a month for the next 2 year contract….

I wouldn’t be able to share how we liked our phone because it hasn’t been received yet. My order was place almost a month ago and it has not been shipped. The first time I contacted customer service I was told that it would be shipped within 48 hours. Two days later still nothing. Contacted customer service for a second time and come to find out it’s out of stock. So not only I was I able to order an out of stock item, I was never notified that was the case. My daughter has now been without a phone for a month and there is no update. I was also told the order could not be canceled for a different phone.
