This kind of dock is essential (sometimes indispensable) for any owner of a mac mini M4, which does not come with USB-A ports and an SD card slot as standard. This model will make the difference if you add an SSD to it (the 256Go of the base mac mini M4 fills up quite quickly). The price may be a bit excessive for only 3 USB ports and an SD port. But at least, it doesn’t look out of place and is really well designed.

It's a hub and SD reader, and comes with a barrette (not supplied) to add ROM to these Mac minis, which have very little of the original (0.5TB for mine ...) so I instantly added 4TB and was able to take over all my historical archives ... while retaining the look and (almost) compactness of the Mac mini. Very practical and intelligent.

Satechi has scored a decisive point, because with this hub it's possible to increase the storage memory of the brand new Mac Mini M4 by up to 4TB (maximum, but that's a lot of space, isn't it?) and to equip it with additional USB-C and USB-A co-electrics. The hub fits in perfectly with the Mac from an aesthetic point of view, and installing the additional SSD is very easy, with all the accessories supplied (thermal paste, screws, ad hoc screwdriver, etc.). All in all, for less than £1,000, I've got myself a competitive Mac !!!!
