RMS Beauty Luminizer Highlighter 4.25 g Champagne Rosé

This is such a beautiful highlighter, if you prefer subtle highlighters, then go for this one. It is a white colour in the pot, but once you apply it, it is sheer and gives a natural glow to the skin with no glitter particles. It is a pricey product, although I bought it discounted during Black Friday, but it lasts for a very long time, considering how little amount you need for it to show up. It comes in a glass pot with a metal lid, so you can repurpose it when you finish it up. It usually retails for approx. 42 euro in Europe for 4.82 g/0.17 oz. RMS Beauty is cruelty-free and many of their products are vegan.

I was looking for a subtle highlighter, but this is more like an invisible one one me. Even if I put it on heavy enough so it shows up, it doesn’t last because it’s so emollient. Could get the same effect on my skin mixing a little vaseline or a stiff oil based balm with a white or champagne shimmer eyeshadow. Really disappointed because I was expecting it to be fantastic based on all the glowing reviews. The only time I could see this working really well is maybe on someone with perfect and smooth skin who doesn’t really wear any other makeup and only needs it on long enough to take some photos, like a 16 to 21 year old model or Instagram girl. Don’t care for the packaging either. I like that it’s glass, but having to sanitize my fingers before dipping them in is kind of a pain. Best to scoop a little (or a lot, in my case) out and put on the back of my hand and work from that. Don’t think I would buy again, sad about that because some of the other shades are gorgeous.

I'm a new fan of this product but it must be applied properly by patting on areas to highlight. You cannot rub into the skin or just disappears. Finish off my look everyday by patting on all recommended areas.

I am making the transition away from any make up or skincare with silicone - which is not easy at all, but I highly recommend it, so I needed to find a new highlighter - I love that this does not have any sparkle in it and it melts into your skin. I can wear it to work - it's an everyday accent on the tops of my cheekbones around to my browbone, Here is the very best thing about this product, though - I can use it in the inner corner of my eye near the tear duct - it's a Kevyn Aucoin trick - and it blends right in - so many highlighters go crepey there when you are a Woman of a Certain Age I am really not crazy about the fact this is in a pot, but I can live with it.
