I recently bought the latest formula and hated it. It looked and applied less thick on the face than the one I used, but it broke me out. I did not buy this compact for its coverage or aesthetic effects, but rather as a substitute for liquid sunscreen on active, sweaty days. This is not a product I'd wear every day to work, so I rather have no breakouts than this sheerer formula. Shiseido had a good thing going, so I hope they tweak the formula (again) soon.

Am not certain if the formula has changed, as this is my first time using this product, but my experience did not match the reviews I’ve seen from others. To start with, the color selection was horrible-am about a medium-light brown color & the darkest color was too light & ashy for me. And then the product severely broke me out....

My gf used to love this product but I have recently become aware of how many toxins are in cosmetics, especially heavy metals. This product contains not one, but two different types of aluminum. I noticed the neurotoxic effects of aluminum years ago as a teenager when I realized the aluminum deodorants were consistently causing headaches on the days I wore them. In the trash it goes. We already have enough aluminum exposure from the ego-engineering.

Ive tried SO MANY foundations in all of my years on Makeup Alley (15 years!!) and this is hands-down the best I have ever used. This matches my skin (I purchased a shade that looked a little dark in the compact, but was perfect on) and although its a powder it doesnt look cakey. Its a breeze to apply and feels great on. Best of all, SPF and it doesnt break me out! It also seems to last a long time, plus I cant sweat it off. Honestly this is truly perfection. You buy the compact once and refill it. It comes with the puff. Very eco-friendly.
