Bought this at Costco. First machine made coffee only half the time, other times water came out. Exchanged, second machine the steamer stopped working after a month. Exchanged - THIRD machine steamer also broke. Dealing with customer service is lengthy and frustrating. Total waste of time and money.

The user manual [digital] is the worst. Images are in the back part [starting around page 620] they repeat the part tags from illustration to illustration, and those tags are the same alpha tags as the illustration demarkations.

It stopped working after 6 months.. now it is more than one month that we are communicating with the customer service to fix the machine and no luck yet. It’s costing us extra to go get our coffee from outside and then pay for it.

Regarding the general operation and screen function -goodThe major flaw is that even though one choses the 3 bean selection and sets the brew grinder unit to 1 ( strongest setting) I find the coffee weak in taste. I tried buying darker roast coffee but not much of a difference! However, for an entry level espresso machine it us okay! For coffee ehnthusiastics, go for a higher end machine.

I had a seco magic and love it but it’s has gotten old and leaks. I bought the 800 from Costco as they look simalar. So far the coffee has been watery, weak , no cream and tasteless. I have been playing with grind and settings as per troubleshooting and manual with no luck so far . I did a side to side with my old unit and yea new one is bla. I’m patient and will give it some time to figure it out but I see it going back to Costco. I will have to go out and try a different brand. If your on the fence with this machine I would say skip this one…
