Does exactly what I need. More bells and whistle than I will ever need, but they don't get in the way of everyday use.

Handset microphone is uni-directional and a bit rubbish, need to speak right into the receiver or people will say "You're very quiet". Otherwise it's OK.

After using Skype with a Skype phone for some time, I was looking for an alternative. This phone combined with the Sipgate Basic package is a great option. This Grandstream device seems to be good value with all the essential features that you need. It needs to be placed near your router or powerline adapter as it will need to be plugged into it directly. It also has a speakerphone option and support for a headset and can be configured for two SIP accounts. Ideal for use in a home office where you need an extra line, but don't want to pay line rental. If you have previously used a Skype phone or something similar, then this is a great alternative.

Got to be the best IP Phone I have bought. Easy to set up, with clear display. Great hands free, loud and clear. Just remember to set up port forwarding to the phone so you dont get calls dropping.

Bought to use this with Sipgate Basic, and it works well enough. Configuration is via the built-in webserver, so you'll need another device for the nitty gritty configuration details. Worth noting that Sipgate Basic doesn't support the Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) so no matter how you set the phone up, you don't get the red flashing light to let you know you've got voicemail. Although it doesn't matter as Sipgate can email you the voicemail file instead so it's no real loss.
