De Philips Series 3000 BG3017/01 is een populaire bodygroomer die vooral wordt gewaardeerd om zijn huidvriendelijke scheerkop en volledig waterdichte ontwerp. Je kunt hem veilig gebruiken onder de douche en hij ligt prettig in de hand dankzij de rubberen grip. De batterij gaat tot 50 minuten mee, maar het opladen duurt relatief lang. Een nadeel is dat er maar één trimlengte is (3 mm), wat weinig flexibiliteit biedt. Ook is het apparaat niet geschikt voor baard of hoofdhaar en kan grof haar soms trekken als je geen opzetstuk gebruikt. Over het algemeen is het een betrouwbare keuze voor wie op zoek is naar een eenvoudige en veilige bodygroomer, maar verwacht geen uitgebreide trimopties.

Only thing I can fault it for is the missing pieces. I didn't get the 5mm head. Other than that it works perfectly for me

I'm impressed with how well this works. Although the shaver is a little bit slow, it just need multiple passes up and down and it shaves just as close as a double edge razer.

There's no doubt that this is very 'safe', they've done a good job of ensuring that you're relatively safe from chafing or pinching of skin. But unfortunately that means that the trade off is that it simply doesn't shave that well, especially if you're not fairly meticulous about ensuring that you're always shaving 'against' the hair direction so that it can scoop underneath the hairs properly. It can be a slightly frustrating experience. I also found that on occasion it would pull/yank the hair rather than cutting it, which was a bit painful. Overall I think the value is reasonable for the product, and its fairly ergonomic to hold and well made, but just not the best tool for the job. Final note - It doesn't come with a plug adapter for the charger so bear that in mind.
