8Bitdo Retro 87 Mechanical Keyboard - Xbox Edition - PC

The 8Bitdo Retro 108 offers a complete typing experience with its full-size layout and integrated numpad, addressing a key limitation of the earlier TKL model. Build quality is notably solid, featuring an aluminum plate, hot-swappable PCB, and thick dye-sublimated PBT keycaps that feel premium. The Kailh Box White V2 switches deliver satisfying tactile feedback with pre-lubed stabilizers that minimize rattling. Tri-mode connectivity provides flexibility for different setups, and the volume knob plus programmable keys enhance usability. However, potential buyers should consider that the clicky switches produce high-pitched sounds that can be disruptive in quiet environments. The lack of backlighting limits visibility in darker conditions, and at $119.99, some may find the price steep compared to budget alternatives. The plastic construction, while sturdy, may be prone to cosmetic wear. Overall, this keyboard excels for those who prioritize retro aesthetics, build quality, and mechanical feel over silent operation and lighting features.
