very well made. the way it fits together is clever but really hard to use once it's hot. if you use hot water in the bottom to start with, then you have to use a glove or tea towel to hold it and then you are not quite as dextrous. the whole thing is very hot after one coffee is made meaning it's very difficult to make a second immediately afterwards.

High quality and on an induction hob this will boil in 30 second ! Handle dose not get hot.

With the move towards reusable coffee cups, making an espresso to take to work in an insulated cup will pay for your Alessi in a few months. From our experience, Alessi Customer Service is extremely helpful. A great product from a customer-focused company - highly recommend.

Just had to order another one of these, first one had a faulty seal, Amazon have changed it, gorgeous coffee pot.

I used to love using my trust Bialetti moka pot on a gas stove. It made perfect coffee. When we moved to a new house it had an induction hob. Unfortunately Bialetti's 'induction' suitable pot is rounded at the base and did not work with our hob. After deliberating for ages I went ahead and bought this very expensive Alessi pot. When we first used this I was just happy I could make my coffee again. But now after a couple of months I have to say I'm so disappointed. The problem is that as another user mentioned here, the coffee comes through weak. No matter what I do I simply cannot match the strength and depth of coffee I used to be able to make in my old Bialetti. So, it works but not well and is very overpriced.
