Intermediate skiers gain confidence carving on groomed runs with excellent edge grip and stability.
Versatile design handles both short slalom turns and longer giant slalom turns without fatigue.
Forgiving construction absorbs irregularities, making progression from parallel to carving easier.
Lightweight ash wood core reduces effort needed for all-day skiing on moderate terrain.
Not suitable for off-piste or powder skiing; designed exclusively for groomed runs.
Heavy weight and limited edge-to-edge agility make short radius turns physically demanding.
Requires active skiing technique; cannot be skied passively without rider engagement.
The Salomon S/Max 8 is an on-piste carving ski designed for intermediate skiers progressing toward advanced techniques. It combines stability at speed with forgiving characteristics, making it suitable for skiers comfortable across the whole resort. The ski excels on groomed runs but is not intended for off-piste exploration.
