Wider 99mm waist provides better float and stability in powder and variable snow.
Almonte 12 PT binding supports heavier skiers with higher DIN range (5-12).
Stiff flex and carbon construction deliver confident edge control on steep terrain.
Lightweight package still suitable for medium-length backcountry tours.
Versatile all-mountain platform handles resort and off-piste skiing equally well.
Heavier than 93mm version; more noticeable weight on extended climbing.
Requires tech-compatible boots with pin inserts; standard alpine boots incompatible.
Wider waist reduces maneuverability in tight trees or technical terrain.
The Head Crux Pro 99 with Almonte 12 PT creates a versatile touring package for intermediate to advanced skiers. The 99mm waist width excels in variable snow and powder while maintaining edge control. The Almonte 12 PT binding at 325g per piece supports heavier skiers with DIN 5-12 range. Ideal for skiers seeking all-mountain capability with moderate weight penalty, balancing climbing efficiency and downhill performance.
