De Philips Elektrisch Scheerapparaat Serie 5000 is populair vanwege het comfort, de waterbestendigheid en de gladde scheerresultaten dankzij de precieze, zelfslijpende mesjes. Je kunt zowel nat als droog scheren en de batterij gaat tot 60 minuten mee. De uitklapbare trimmer is handig, maar niet precies genoeg voor strakke lijnen. Voor zware of langere baardgroei is het apparaat minder geschikt. Ook kun je het scheerapparaat niet gebruiken tijdens het opladen en is de oplaadkabel vrij kort. Over het algemeen is het een degelijk scheerapparaat voor dagelijks gebruik, vooral bij een normale baardgroei.

I predominantly use this shaver for my head and I always have to do a wet shave using another brand three blade razor. I am experienced with electric shavers and this is the 1st phillips one I have bought. I have a number of electric shavers best in my opinion by far is the Remington, then the braun series 5, then the phillips, then last 2 being a platinum pro Pitbull and also a Baldy, which does not live up to its name.

It is easy to use, although not always as close a shave as I would like. The cover cap does not fit well and comes off regularly.

CI can't fault the razor init's own right, but I do miss not having the side trimmer.
