We tried every effort for the unit to read the already tested SIM card. No GO! So we went back and replaced it with a TP-Link AC1200 and no issues. First try and away we went with no issues. Easy to config and great WiFi power and with excellent 4G. Recommend the TP-Link model anytime.

D-Link DWR-2101 - Doesn't appear to work with Vodafone Ireland.... connects to the network ok, but won't let you get internet which makes a bit like a heavy paper weight. Therefore cannot recommend this expensive paperweight....

Compatible with nanosim card, I am using with virgin mobile business unlimited 4g/5g compatible I have a mixture of WiFi devices, but this has 2x ssids so no interference. I am currently getting internet speeds of just under 100mbps which is very handy when working remotely. It's so easy to use I cancelled my home broadband line. Battery lasts all day approx 15+ hours Comes with one LAN port for constant connection. I did experience drop outs, but that was because it was not placed in the optimum place for 5g signal strength.

Overall, my only wish regarding this unit – and it is a wish, not a critique – is that it would be a bit smaller and the aerials were more integrated. It’s not a lot of fun to carry in a full backpack if you happen to put it near the back of the bag. I ended up repurposing an old padded camera bag to act as the portable home for this device, and that works very well for me indeed. Definitely worth exploring if you travel a lot and want the safety of a dedicated connection that no one else can hack into, or have a family who all want online access at good speeds. I had no trouble watching streaming movies through this while I was away from home-base, and the photos slipped smoothly up the line to the cloud storage just as though I was sitting in the office hooked into the fibre.
