De Pro-Ject Phono Box DC is een compacte phono-voorversterker voor MM- en MC-elementen. Het apparaat biedt een versterking van 40 dB voor MM en 60 dB voor MC, met een vaste ingangsimpedantie van 47 kΩ voor MM en 100 Ω voor MC. De signaal-ruisverhouding tot 86 dB voor MM en 68 dB voor MC en een maximale uitgangsspanning van 9,5 V maken langdurig gebruik met standaard hifi-versterkers mogelijk. Aansluitingen gebeuren via RCA in- en uitgangen en een externe 18 V-voeding.

If you own a Pro-Ject turntable...you need to get this! I bought a low grade phono box thinking it wouldn’t make a difference. As soon as I switched to this one it was insane the sound equality. It’s almost like putting regular fuel in a Ferrari by using a low quality pre phono.

Compact and perfectly acceptable phono cartridge amp. Sonically indistinguishable (over a relatively good components system) from the phono function built into either a Yamaha c-85 of Mac C-29 preamp. Have not tried with a MC cartridge, just MM (AT VM 740ML).
