Marantz CINEMA 30 Home-cinema-receiver

What a bit of kit ….. only problem it gets warm and in this heat you will be sitting in shorts or melting admitted we are in a heat wave. Amazing audio and the depth and power it gives the speakers is truly stunning. Watching Maverick blue ray my dad said it even made him feel emotional that’s what great sound can do to you. Enough said.

For the last year I've had a Cinema 40 and really enjoyed it. Overall I like the sound signature of the Marantz more than Denon or Yamaha, because it's more finessed and never gets fatiguing, even with a weak sound track source. It creates this bubble of sound around you which is so immersive, you hear sounds often coming from places you don't even have speakers! The trade off with the 40 was a slight lack of dynamics and highend thrill, as well as sometimes a slightly slower bass response in movies. The Cinema 30 rectifies those shortcomings whilst also widening the soundstage even more and adding fast and punchy bass control. Add in the dynamic EQ and this thing fills the room with thick and detailed sound, also helping fill out those anaemic streaming soundtracks you get from bit starved Netflix and Amazon content. Is it worth the extra £1000 over the Cinema 40?... absolutely yes, especially if you have thirsty speakers.

Still getting to grips with this, but ordered over the phone from Steve @Richer Sounds Reading on Wednesday and I was collecting the next morning, as always great service. If only I was not too tight to have them connect it all up for me, there are 'many' wires, but that's down to me. I have to say it sounds most excellent. Now running with externally amped L&R Towers, then doing the business with rest of the Focal's for surround and SVS heights. Top job guys!

Het 11.4-model is voorzien van zo ongeveer alle features waar de filmliefhebber, gamer én muziekliefhebber blij van wordt. De toevoeging van Dirac Live-kamercorrectie misschien wel het grootste verschil. In hoeverre is dit een reden om te upgraden?
