MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Cheeky Bronze 10 gram

I'm writing this review just to remember why I decided not to buy Soft and Gentle: it's a chunky, shimmery gold hue on me. After a few days of reviewing old blog posts where Soft and Gentle looked like a warm, peachy-beige that would look like a nice fit for a 'balmy summer night' makeup look I'm building, I went to the MAC counter and swatched it on my arm and it was a quick, decisive "no". I do like MAC's Mineral Skin Finishes but this wasn't very smooth, the glitter was too big, and it wasn't the right color for me. I already own Becca Opal which is better suited for the look I'm trying to create. And as for highlighter formulations, I prefer Becca, Charlotte Tilbury, and of course the original theBalm Mary Loumanizer.

Mac mineralize skin finish in the color gold deposit looks good on my brown skin. The golden highlight makes your skin look alive and healthy almost like it has a filter over it. It also creates the illusion dimension on the face. It is a tiny bit messy but its not really a big deal. It makes you look “done” or it pulls your look together guess it’s not called finishing powder for no reason. It lives up to its name. It’ll probably last a long time being that There’s so much product in it. But I’d buy it again when it runs out. And would definitely recommend it.

I've been using this in my rotation for years!! It's gorgeous and dewy. Especially in the winter when you need or want a glow! So pretty under my eyes And over blush ..yes please!! Soft and Gentle

I use this as a bronzer because it applies so nicely and gives the perfect amount of glow and warmth. Leaves my skin looking like I've just come back off holiday with a lovely tan. I've used it for years and will continue to do so.

This is my HG highlighter. For reference I am NC25. To this day MAC's Minerlaize Skin Finishes are some of my favourite MAC products, it's a shame they've stopped releasing the limited edition colours. What I love about this highlighter is the texture, it very buttery and soft and melts into the skin. The powder is very finely-milled. There are so many highlighters out there that just sit on the skin in a very obvious way. It also doesn't have any glittery bits which don't belong in a highlighter. With this highlighter you achieve a luminous glow not a glitter explosion on your face. I would describe the colour as warm/neutral medium beige. To the ladies who are giving it low ratings, I’m sorry but you are doing it wrong. The secret to this and other highlighters is spending a good amount of time on blending and buffing the product. Otherwise it will just sit on top of the make that you have already applied not doing much. LOVE IT!
