I really am stunned at this fragrance. I bought a 100ml for under £30. It just goes to show how we can be thoroughly ripped off by other fragrance houses. I have numerous oud/rose fragrances and this competes on every level. Very long lasting and smells far more expensive than it is. OK the rose is a little too old school but I forgive them for that. Very good value fragrance.

When I received the scent in a swap, I was initially skeptical. Why, I didn't know right away myself. I already had one or two "oud" fragrances combined with rose in my collection, and they never stayed in my possession for long. Too sweet, too "stinky," too something. But this one is different. Because it is not so complex, and its simplicity makes it so brilliant. The rose that comes through here is very wearable for me, and it’s fun to keep bringing my wrist to my nose and discovering hour after hour how good it smells. I also find something "mineral" in it and would almost classify it as "earthy." On a summer night like this, the perfume performs through and through and boasts constant performance; I haven't experienced that very often. I believe that as a beginner, especially regarding the price range and the rose/oud direction, you can't go wrong with this one and you get a lot for your money. Best: test it. M.

Worth it on black Friday for £13. Ignore for men - it's as UNISEX as they come! And it's absolutely lovely. A very tame oud, and lovely rose. Wearing it now and no regrets at all -

Today I tested my first Oud fragrance, "Crystal Aoud | Montale." It's worth writing my first short review. It was supposed to be a statement, but with the first sentence, you’re already at the end. Creating such a wonderfully complex scent with so few notes is truly impressive. I just can't stop smelling it. Spicy, slightly sweet, powdery, and with a nice woody smoky note. Very delicious. I really like it a lot, and at a really good price. The bottle isn’t anything special, but it's attractive, simple, and fits well on a shelf with men's fragrances.

Maybe I got the wrong batch bying at Notino but sillage and longevity are under par. Far from the power of Franck Olivier Oud. Probably watered down. The sticker was not well attached. Bottle and batch numbering however seemed realistic. I do like the scent however. Rose oudy, nice balance. I associate it with Arabian nights for some reason. Simple but effective bottle and it sprays well.
