Somehow, I no longer like this scent profile. By now, I wonder if I wouldn't like the original la belle either, or if the alternatives are just not that great. It smells sweet. Very, very sweet. Sticky like pear syrup or something. In my memory, the original smells more like cake or something really gourmand. Not just sugar and pear. The longevity and sillage of this fragrance are really not good, which I find a bit disappointing. Zara fragrances are already a bit more expensive than drugstore fragrances, but they are usually worse in performance. I also find the bottle somewhat inappropriate. I would have preferred dark red, purple, black, or brown. Maybe even dark blue. When you see this bottle, you think it's a fruity, zesty, fresh scent. The weak performance has the advantage that I have to/can spray a lot, and the perfume will run out quickly. Afterwards, I will sniff the original again and buy it if I like it.

As I was strolling through the Zara store yesterday, I came across this scent that I couldn't remember; it must be new. I sprayed it on and honestly didn't expect much. But lo and behold! I was pleasantly surprised. It smells of fresh, juicy pear, enveloped by a delicate jasmine note, on a bed of vanilla and praline. The similarity to La Belle is definitely there, although I actually prefer Sultry Pear. LB has a certain depth that doesn't appeal to me personally. The leather and vetiver notes that are missing here make the scent more accessible and enjoyable for me. But that’s something everyone has to decide for themselves. The longevity is about 5-6 hours for me, which I find perfectly fine for the price (€12.99). I can definitely recommend it :)

Extravagance d'Amarige smells to me like a cross between True Love by Elizabeth Arden and Eau Parfumee The Bleu by Bvlgari. A nice soft fragrance that is good to spray on your pillow before sleep conducive to quality rest. I liked it so much that I purchased four bottles. It's unfortunate that they stopped manufacturing it in the original bottle (which was cute), and is now mass produced in a nondescript plain bottle. What these fragrance companies do sometimes baffles me. I'm sure the difference in cost of packaging is mere pennies. Cheapskates!
