Floris No. 89 is een klassieke, Britse herengeur met een frisse citrusopening en een hart van roos, lavendel en nootmuskaat, op een basis van sandelhout, ceder en vetiver. Veel gebruikers waarderen de elegante barbershop-uitstraling en het nette, discrete karakter, waardoor hij goed past bij kantoor en formele gelegenheden.[1][7][11] Tegelijkertijd wordt vaak genoemd dat de geur vrij snel dichter op de huid gaat zitten en dat de levensduur eerder gemiddeld dan sterk is.[1][11] De poederige roos en zeepachtige indruk worden door liefhebbers gezien als tijdloze klasse, maar anderen vinden hem wat saai of te ouderwets en niet spannend genoeg voor een volledige flacon.[1][11] Ook de hogere prijs in verhouding tot de gematigde projectie komt regelmatig terug als aandachtspunt voor kopers.

Absolutly disappointed . Thanks for i haven’t paid the full price. Smell nice the classic barber scent but doesn’t last at all. After one hour is gone

My fragrance since I first bought it at the shop on Jermyn Street in London, almost 40 years ago. A bottle will last several years and makes a great gift for a friend, or yourself. If you ever get the chance, a visit to the store is worth the effort.

This is a negative for someone under 45. I gifted the fragrance to my father after wearing it a few times. It reminds me of a powdery, soapier version of the scents that my grandfather wore. I doubt that the modern James Bond would wear this fragrance as it reminds me of perfumes worn by more elderly gentlemen.

Another scent I tried on a blind buy whim that I've come to love. It's not quite a cologne, but sort of has a similar vibe. Not exactly barbershop, but kind of. More than a bit soapy and a little powdery. This is one of my "go to" scents for appointments where you want to smell good, scrubbed but not loud or offensive. A gentleman's scent for sure.
