Dsquared2 Wood Original Eau de Parfum wordt vaak beschreven als een frisse, houtachtige geur met duidelijk viooltjesblad en citrus in de opening en een droge, bosachtige basis. Veel gebruikers dragen hem als dagelijkse, casual geur en noemen hem een betaalbare "hidden gem" met een volwassen maar toch toegankelijke stijl. De flacon met magnetische houten dop wordt regelmatig geprezen als stevig en luxe. Tegelijk geven meerdere reviews aan dat de projectie en sillage eerder gemiddeld zijn en dat de geur bij sommigen sneller vervaagt dan gewenst. Ook wordt de opening soms als wat synthetisch en scherp ervaren voordat hij zachter en houtiger wordt. Wie een zeer krachtige of extreem langdurige parfum zoekt, kan dit als nadeel zien, maar voor wie een frisse, niet-opdringerige houtgeur wil, is dit juist een pluspunt.

Clear marketing is always nice - it clearly tells you what it is, and that’s exactly what it is. Original Wood is pure wood. Accompanied by freshness in the opening, a hint of forest comes in right away and really captures that feeling and the pure scent of wood. No herbs, fruits, or citrus - it is pure wood. The opening is strong. However, the drydown is not my thing; it becomes sweet, but it lacks the spice or something that makes the wood interesting. It’s sweet woods, somewhat resinous - not my thing. I had hoped for more here. When it comes to designers, the brand is really something different, and it’s certainly not a typical mainstream scent. Nothing in my collection even roughly goes in this direction. Sillage is relatively low, but the longevity is quite decent - especially for the price point. Cool concept, initially strong, then strongly diminishing.

De geur is erg prettig, maar na een paar uur al volledig vervlogen. In tegenstelling tot wat een andere review aangeeft. Eerder heb ik de andere variant van dit luchtje besteld, goedkoper en bleef langer hangen.

Cannot tell you how happy I am that this is back. Used to come in a square glass and wood bottle, until it was discontinued. Couldn't find it anywhere, and the new scents were not as nice. Saw on their instagram this was coming back and honestly I was worried it wouldnt be the original scent but it is.
