Baldessarini Black Eau de Toilette 50 ml

Baldessarini Black is my flexible and affordable everyday and transitional fragrance, especially for casual activities. It's basically the scent for "in between," e.g. for shopping or other daily tasks. It is more suitable for milder or cooler seasons. It is absolutely rounded and professional without being intrusive, and it radiates calm, elegance, and self-confidence. However, for my taste, it lacks a bit of (resinous) depth for this type of fragrance. I feel that while it is rounded, it also remains somewhat flat, and it has a subtle kind of sweetness or powderiness that slightly reminds me of vanilla. The scent is very linear and does not develop, which is neither a positive nor a negative aspect. I find the leather in this composition well integrated.

Smells nice but doesnt last long wont be buying again.

Very good combo of some older designer concepts from the first decade of 21. century. It reminds me of Profumum Roma Patchouly. Equally sweet, decent but stripped from density and warmth that Profumum Roma Patchouly has, but that makes Baldessarini more wearable and versatile. Evening casual scent, for spring or autumn, not for the summer. As for winter, it lacks the strength in my opinion. As a designer, this will not be a scent that'll be liked by the wider audience. There's nothing trendy about it. Strong patchouly cooled down by basil note and tonka is a mild sweetener here. There is some leather noticable here, however not vehemently. To me Baldessarini as a house never promises much, but almost always delivers more than I expect. Marlon Brando...the Godfather walks slowly and with his head held high through the garden of his summer house in Tuscany, surrounded by his bodyguards in leather jackets. That's what I associate with this fragrance. Herbaceous and spicy with a Mediterranean flair, that describes it best in my opinion. It conveys a certain self-assurance as if to say: "Nothing can throw me off course quickly, I've got everything under control...I’m the one in charge here." A fragrance for the established man over 30... The longevity for me is in the medium range; after 1.5 - 2 hours it does fade quite quickly, until after about 4-5 hours there’s only a faint trace left to sense up close...without a pocket spray, it’s a short pleasure.
