Sublime is een verfijnde bloemige chypre uit 1992 die zich onderscheidt door zijn complexe samenstelling. De geur opent met citrusachtige noten die geleidelijk overgaan naar een warme amber- en patchoulibasis met poederige musks. Hoewel reviewers de rijke, evenwichtige compositie en het sterke sillage prijzen, waarschuwen velen voor de dik poederige opening die tijd nodig heeft om zich te ontvouwen. Herformuleringen hebben de geur verzwakt; vintage versies worden veel hoger gewaardeerd. Dit is een geur voor geduldig dragende die de langzame evolutie waarderen, niet voor wie onmiddellijke impact zoekt.

I'd never even heard of Sublime before seeing it on Fragrancenet - all I can say is WOW, it is the is the most beautiful scent...I would even say it's captivating! I know this is one I will order again and again...Thank you Fragrancenet!

This is a rich and elegant perfume, but w/ a bit of happiness thrown in. It starts off w/ a sweet mandarin orange and then progresses into a very powdery orris, spicy carnation and other rich florals. It drys down to a beautiful vanilla, vetiver and sandalwood. Perfumes like this are not made any more and this is a classic 20th century fragrance. I own newer perfumes and like them, but these classics are getting harder to come by. Jean Patou fragrances are no longer in production, sad to say so if you want to project an aura of class, style, and sensuality and don't want to smell like what the little kiddies are wearing today pick up a bottle of Sublime. The name says it all for this perfume! It truly is Sublime!

I started to get into fragrance collecting during COVID lockdowns and as a retirement hobby. I had never sampled Jean Patou fragrances before and then I heard that this house was closing its doors forever and that they used a lot of natural ingredients in their fragrances. I ordered samples of Joy, Sublime, and 1000. I instantly fell in love with Sublime and Joy and am so heartbroken that I didn't know how beautiful these fragrances were because I could've been wearing them for years. This is a beautiful fragrance that is very subtle yet seductive. The opening is very woody but in a feminine way, the middle of the fragrance is beautiful abstract, sweet powdery florals and the dry down is a sweet, ylang, vanilla, sandalwood and orange powder that lasts on the skin and clothes. This is gorgeous stuff and it is a shame it is no longer in production. If you like vintage style fragrances this one is for you.
