Good lens but seems not perform well an Adapter, even the adpater is a very expensive one. Around aperture 11, it is good. But sometimes around the very open aperture such as 4.5, the image quality degradation is quite noticeable. Because the adapter is involved, I'm not quite sure if it is the problem of the lens or the adapter. I'd like to recommend the others not to spend to much time on figuring out that if you face the same problem with me, because it is a very time-consuming process.

Nice little lens. Sharp but vignettes a bit but that's easy to fix in postproduction.

Sharp lens. Small. Feels good. Must add a focus TAAB for better and quicker focusing.

This lens is great. The aperture dial clicks smoothly, but firmly. The tactile feel of the dial is perfect. The image quality is better than the previous versions. Vignetting is still present, but is way less pronounced compared to previous versions, and disappears around f/8. Being a f/4.5 aperture, I was not expecting great results handheld in low light without high ISO, but I knew that going in. I shoot landscapes with a tripod, and this is great. I am using it on a Sony a7ii with a metabones adapter, and I am extremely satisfied with the results. The complete setup is a compact package with great image quality. So far, I love it. Aesthetically, this lens is second to none. It looks great! Pick it up, you won't be disappointed!

Five stars all the way. My previous main ultrawide prime for Leica M was the Zeiss ZM 18mm Distagon. Unfortunately that lens wasn't outstanding when adapted to Sony E-Mount, so I sold it and looked for alternatives. This little Voigtlander is extremely sharp all the way to the corners on both Leica and Sony cameras. I've used it on an M240 and continue to use it on a Sony A7RII. It is up to the task of the 42MP sensor, and I haven't noticed any color fringing. There are some comparisons posted at TalkEmount showing that this little guy clearly outperforms the Sony 16-35mm zoom at 16mm. It's well made, has low distortion, is reasonably priced, and takes up little room in the camera bag. Five stars all the way.
