Nikon Nikkor Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S

Wish it was a F/5.6, which would have made it a bit larger, which I would not have mined at all. It's small, light, fast AF paired to my Z9, and sharp. Nothing more needs to be said.

Incredibly light lens which means trekking, and for me hand holding in difficult situations ie at ground or water level for wildlife is now possible. Very sharp wide open and good bokeh as long as the background is far enough away from the subject and the light isn't too harsh. I'd have preferred f5.6 but hey.

The Nikkor Z 600mm F6.3 VR S is a big telephoto lens you won't mind carrying thanks to its featherweight optical elements.

Brilliant lens. I traded in my trusty and loved F mount Nikon 500mm PF, 1.4 x TC, 2 x TC and FTZ. All the lens reviews I have read for this Z mount lens were very good and I agree. Trade In process at Castle was excellent.

I love this lens! Fast, beautiful photos, and lightweight. I can handhold this for hours. For context, I am 5’2” and weigh 115 lbs. I have the z400 4.5 and love that lens but this so far has exceeded in performance. The aperture is noticeable with higher noise levels but easily remedied in LR denoise. I will never regret getting this lens.
