Fujifilm XF 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 R LM OIS WR

So far I am pleased. It's very compact and well built. Image quality seems good, I wasn't expecting excellent but may improve when I become more used to it; I've used primes exclusively for 10 years.

Excellent, lightweight lens that makes a good alternative to the considerably heavier 100-400. Good auto-focus and image stabilisation.

Very versatile lens with deceptive range for its size. I had the 55-200 (& 50-140) but this has replaced both. Very sharp. Well stabilised.

Sturdy lens. Barrel is quite stiff, but smooth. Feels well balanced on my Fuji camera. Good range as a telephoto. Best for bright light unless you have a tripod due to restricted f4-5.6. It is also weatherproof which can be handy in the UK.

Find this lens light compared to the 100-400 which means I'm more likely to get out with my camera for longer, it's a good zoom range especially when coupled with the 1.4 converter. It would be nice if it had a wider aperture but for the price point you can't really expect that.
