De Yamaha HS8 Wit staat bekend om zijn neutrale en eerlijke geluidsweergave, waardoor het een favoriet is bij producers die een betrouwbare mix willen maken. De krachtige 120W bi-amp zorgt voor hoge volumes zonder vervorming, en het brede frequentiebereik maakt het mogelijk om veel details te horen. De stevige MDF-behuizing helpt resonantie te verminderen. Wel is het formaat fors, waardoor de speaker minder geschikt is voor kleine ruimtes. Ook kan plaatsing dicht bij muren leiden tot teveel bas, en ontbreken montagepunten voor wandbevestiging. Over het algemeen is de HS8 een uitstekende keuze voor serieuze studio's, mits de ruimte groot genoeg is.

I have the Yamaha HS8S sub hooked up to my JBL 305p MK II's as a slightly more budget option than the JBL LSR310S Powered Studio Subwoofer and I'm more than happy its performance for my home studio.

Before I bought these, I did some research and asked about monitors/speakers that were of good quality that could take the place of my old ones. I have a little office/studio set up in my room and wanted something I could get a good mix with. These do what they’re supposed to do and I’m quite impressed. They definitely have some kick to them as well. You won’t be disappointed
