The R1800 ink is still available 10 years after I bought my printer! Amazing! Go through a lot of Yellow and Magenta. Buying at B&H is a good plan because this stuff has a sell-by date and B&H has enough volume that they just shipped fresh stuff. This has been an issue in the past, resulting in clogs when sourced elsewhere. Epson's own ordering page for these in was not working when I ordered from B&H Photo (and I was pleasantly surprised to get free shipping from B&H as well)

Terrific color depth and retention. Never clogs. Blacks are fabulous.

These inks are for the Epson R1800 printer. They are easy to replace, seem to have a reasonable life span, and deliver really superior color with no metamerism. Once you get the printer and monitor set up with a system such as Monaco EZcolor, the prints are consistent with no drips, runs, etc, even on long runs or large prints. About the only minus is the need to clean the cartridges if the printer is inactive for a couple of weeks. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things.

I feel it is important to stay with the OEM inks. Buying from BH you get fresh dates that have plenty of shelf life to them.
