De Cuisinart ICE100E is een zelfvriezende ijsmachine met twee roerarmen, waardoor je zowel ijs als gelato kunt maken. Het apparaat is eenvoudig te bedienen en schoon te maken dankzij de uitneembare kom. De ijsstructuur is zeer romig en glad, wat door veel gebruikers wordt gewaardeerd. Wel is het apparaat vrij groot en zwaar, waardoor het veel ruimte inneemt. De maximale batchgrootte is ongeveer 1 liter, wat voor sommigen aan de kleine kant is. Bij het schoonmaken moet je goed letten op de kom, omdat er restjes kunnen achterblijven. Over het algemeen wordt de machine geprezen om zijn prestaties en gebruiksgemak, maar de omvang en het schoonmaakgemak zijn aandachtspunten.

This is an excellent ice cream maker. First churn was perfect in 40 minutes. Consistancy is somewhere between soft serve and and hand dipped. Avoiding clean up is just a matter of not overfilling. The noise level did not bother us sitting a few feet away. Having the ability to make creamy, keto friendly ice cream, when we want it, is monumental for us! It is heavy due to the compressor, but not unmanageable. Due to size, you would probably not want to leave it out on your kitchen counter.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this ice cream maker. We use it all the time. Very easy and efficient. Delicious ice cream every time. I’d love it to make more in each batch, but I guess the cooling element can only handle a relatively small amount. Cleaning is easy, but my only complaint (and I’m sure it’s the same for every type of ice cream maker) is that it’s difficult to get all the wonderful ice cream off the paddle. It seems as though as much as 25% is left on the paddle and left over for some lucky person to lick it off. Challenging to get it off otherwise.

I had given this a low review because it seemed that the motor stopped turning too soon. However, after a few attempts I finally realized that I had not pressed the cannister in the compressor unit properly. This time I made sure it was secured in place properly and then it worked like a charm. Now I'm very happy with it. The compressor works very fast, making ice cream or gelato in about 45 minutes from refrigerator-cooled ingredients. So - easy to set up, fast to make, and easy to clean.

The greatest ice cream parlor in city makes the best rocky road in our solar system. I was shocked to find out that rocky road is a seasonal flavor (it was replaced by bubble gum ice cream. This is evidence that just because you are the best at something doesn’t mean you have a clue). The ice cream people wouldn’t listen to reason so I had to come up with a plan B. My research led me to the this machine. It makes great ice cream in about 30 minutes. My machine has worked perfectly since taking it out of the box. I have not had any issues with cleaning the unit. I have also developed a rocky road recipe that surpasses my former ice cream parlor.
