De Yamaha HPH-MT5 is een studiohoofdtelefoon met een neutraal en eerlijk geluid, ideaal voor monitoring en mixen. Het lichte gewicht en de stevige bouw maken hem geschikt voor lange sessies en intensief gebruik. De geluidsisolatie is uitstekend dankzij het gesloten ontwerp. Let wel op: de kabel is niet universeel vervangbaar en sommige gebruikers vinden de klemkracht en ondiepe oorkussens minder comfortabel bij langdurig dragen. Voor puur muziekplezier is het geluid wat analytisch, maar voor studiowerk is dit juist een voordeel.

I remember first hearing the Yamaha MT220's. I remember thinking Yamaha is the new king of headphones. I can't wait to see what they do next. I thought if their lower level headphones had 50% of the energy and forwardness and refinement of the MT220's, they would be an adequate and fun and maybe more consumer friendly headphone to use regularly. I was wrong.
