V-Moda M-200

These are actually really good for recording music in my studio.Very flat sound. I realized I needed to turn the bass down in my mixes.Great studio monitors.

Built really really well and tuff and compact, but man it just doesn't have any bass. I switch from these to my Audio-Technica ATH-M50x or my Sennheiser HD 280 Pro headphones and there is bass I can hear in those two that doesn't even come through in the V Moda set.I listen to a lot of electronica, and these just don't pick up the low frequency sound.

All, I just finished using the M-200s plugged into a bass amp. Spectacular sound images. My amp has a horn it was great to hear how the M200s picked up the highs. Lows *Forget about it.* This set has the clarity from fret to fret.I'm now listening to Black Metal. NIce distinct leads, bass, drums. Theirs color in the sound if you know what I'm talking about. My current home stereo is a Marshall Stanmore II, the M200 easily brings out missing pieces that Marshall misplaces, namely the depth and resonance.

A very good set of headphones for the discerning professional well as the audiophile. Uncoloured sound that is natural, musical, pleasing and enjoyable even when connected direct to a MacBook Pro. This also prompted me to buy the Crossfade Codex, it’s sibbling. I will not need to be looking any further.
