De Sennheiser HD 660S2 is een bedrade over-ear hoofdtelefoon met open ontwerp, ontwikkeld voor thuisgebruik. Het model heeft een impedantie van 300 ohm, een gevoeligheid van ongeveer 104 dB en een frequentiebereik van 8 tot 41.500 Hz. De hoofdtelefoon weegt rond de 260 gram en wordt geleverd met twee 1,8 meter lange kabels met 6,3 mm en 4,4 mm stekkers, plus een adapter naar 3,5 mm. De behuizing bevat dynamische drivers van ongeveer 38 mm.

Bought the Sennheiser HD 660S2 HD 660S2 to use with my DAP. And I must say, I’m amazed at the clarity of the soundstage. I’m hearing parts in music that I’ve not heard before. I highly recommend these headphones.

Purchased on the advice of Paul, Assistant Manager I am still breaking them in, as he described it, which is why I held back from commenting. As a means of delivering analytical detail I have found them very helpful, picking out colour, instrumentation, balance bit never at the expense of the whole sound picture. The sit very cosily over my ears and there is no problem with heat issues. I look forward to going further into my vinyl/CD collection to discover what further aural treats await.

The listening experience is good when connected to the phone, but when connected to an amplifier, they sound much fuller and more dynamic. I am not the one who hooks up to an analyzer and debates the graph curve. How I perceive sounds is determined by my hearing and the sound source that gives them to me. These headphones provide full range, bottom, middle and top, everything is balanced, it's great. They are light and I really don't feel their weight on my head - the earmuffs fit very tightly and that's probably why I don't feel like I'm carrying anything on my head.
