Meze 105 Silva

I bought these recently from my local branch in Cheltenham and I love them. The advice I got from the instore team was excellent and I'm really pleased with their recommendation. My ears get a little warm after extended use and the headband needs repositioning to avoid hot spots but I guess that's to be expected from any over ear headphones. Overall, I'm very pleased.

Paired with an audio lab 7000a incredible depth of sound and Rega 3 record player. Just amazing.. outstrips my Bose headphones by a country mile. Brilliant

After some years trying different headphones at different price levels and from different manufacturers, I've finally found a pair that tick all the boxes. They are supremely comfortable, sound magical and look great. The acoustics are, for my 60 year old ears, sublime. I wont try and baffle with techno babble, but every genre of music sound alive, fully immersive and clear. Foot tappingly great as another reviewer said. They are highly recomended.

Balanced, direct and engaging sound from comfortable, good-looking and nicely made headphones. At this point, I'm tempted to ask what more you could want (apart from a balanced cable)? The Meze Audio 105 AER open-back headphones are an impressive offering indeed.

The Best pair of headphones I've owned, soo comfortable, you just put them on and they fit. No clicking or adjusting. I'm rediscovering elements to music and sounds I've forgoten or never knew were there. Things like Cybmal decay or background elements that are there or last longer than you remember. Easily missed elements like the mechanical sound at the start of Tool's 'The Grudge' is so much clearer, and defined. Bass elements often too low to hear or that get oddly distorted are deep and there, like those in 'Bad Guy' by B.E And most importantly for me are easily driven off of my Minidisc recorders, MZ-R500, MZ-NH600, iPod classic 5.5 and from USB-C Dongle DACs. A wonderful set of headphones.
