A bargain buy that offers a good performance and this implement is also quite portable if not in use. In these days where there is so much competition within music markets - and certain equipment can have a short shelf life it is good to locate a piece of merchandise that does not take advantage of its audience and invites its public into a positive performance.

didn't expect the bass to be so overpowering. had porta-pro previously so I didn't expect this. if you can eq them then they're pretty pleasurable to listen to.

Ive been using my porta pro for a year now, but I wanted to try these ones to compare. Sounds a little better than the pros when volume is high. In terms of comfort they're fine, like the pros they can hurt your ears and top of your head after a while but its not a big deal. I have a smaller head so unfortunately these don't fit snug, theyre a little too long but they don't fall off. Pros fit better. One other thing when comparing these to the porta pro, the volume control is useful and I'm happy its a slider and not touch controlled. The plug is straight which for me is a negative, the pros have an l shaped plug which makes it easier to avoid bending the lead. But for the price of these, theyre fantastic!

I have owned a number of the best budget headphones I can find, as a bit of a hobby these last couple of years. These include Sennheiser, AVG, Rane, Urbanista, Superlux and others. Incredibly, I find these bargain-basement on-ear Koss cans beat the lot of them for sheer, crisp, clean, open musicality, in genres from ECM jass to Americana folk rock to classical. They even almost eclipse the iconic Koss Porta Pro, and probably do in some respects. They go alongside another unlikely cheapo over-ear set from Stagg (which I've also reviewed) as my current joint favourite headphones.

Had the first pair for fifteen years. A piece eventually broke off so I replaced with a second just the same. I have had several other makes and types--wireless and wired,. but I've mainly used the Koss. For comfort and convenience these are hard to beat
