De Grado SR125x staat bekend om zijn uitzonderlijk gedetailleerde en heldere geluid, vooral in het middenbereik en bij vocalen. Het lichte ontwerp en de comfortabele pasvorm maken hem geschikt voor lange luistersessies. De bouwkwaliteit is solide en de oorkussens zijn vervangbaar, wat de levensduur verlengt. Wel moet je rekening houden met het open-back ontwerp, waardoor omgevingsgeluid goed hoorbaar blijft. De bas is duidelijk en gedefinieerd, maar mist diepte en subbas, wat voor sommige muziekgenres een nadeel kan zijn. De kabel is stevig maar niet afneembaar, en er zijn geen moderne functies zoals een microfoon of Bluetooth. Over het algemeen is dit een uitstekende keuze voor wie puur geluidskwaliteit zoekt en geen waarde hecht aan extra functies.

Tried these a few weeks ago along with the rest of the range sr80X sr125X sr225x, sr325x and the hemps. i would have been completely satisfied with the sr80x but the next ones up in the range just seemed a little smoother with just a hint more definition in the bass. I waited a while to review. they have a lovely airy sound and are a bit brighter sounding than my HD600s which is exactly what i was looking for - something with a different sonic signature. the only issue i have is the cord is very thick and the y- terminator never seems to sit right. and the supplied pads take a few weeks to get used to. they are very good sounding headphones for the price if wired headphones are your thing.
