De Focal Clear MG Professional is een topklasse open-back studio-hoofdtelefoon met een zeer gedetailleerde en neutrale geluidsweergave, ideaal voor mixen en mastering. Dankzij de lichte magnesium drivers en comfortabele microvezel oorkussens is langdurig dragen geen probleem. De bouwkwaliteit is uitstekend en het open ontwerp zorgt voor een ruimtelijke, precieze soundstage. Wel is de prijs hoog en lekt het open ontwerp geluid, waardoor hij minder geschikt is voor onderweg of in lawaaierige omgevingen. Ook is de klank erg neutraal, wat niet iedereen aanspreekt. Accessoires zoals reserve-oorkussens en een stevige draagtas zijn inbegrepen, wat het totaalpakket compleet maakt.

Absolutely stunning phones, wonderful for gauging sub and lows, not for tracking (open back), but ideal for mixing. The short curly cable is heavy/tricky so needs a headphone extension cable with a, though the connectors to the phones themselves are standard mini trs jacks, not some proprietary connector, so it would be easy to make an alternative cable (but at Focal quality, with my soldering skills... maybe not). The sound for long DAW edit use is fab, driving it with a RND headphone amp... lush! Quality end to end is exemplary, much like the new Sounds Easy showroom and v friendly staff (park in Bunnings nearby!)
