De Denon AH-D7200 wordt geprezen om zijn gedetailleerde, ruimtelijke en krachtige geluid, vooral de bas is indrukwekkend en goed gecontroleerd. Het comfort is hoog dankzij zachte materialen en een stevige constructie. Het gesloten ontwerp biedt goede isolatie, maar niet op het niveau van actieve noise cancelling. Nadelen zijn een middengebied dat soms wat expressiviteit mist, een zachte treble die niet iedereen aanspreekt, en het ontbreken van accessoires zoals een draagtas. Sommige gebruikers ervaren druk van de hoofdband bij lang gebruik. Over het algemeen is dit een uitstekende keuze voor wie een luxe, neutrale koptelefoon zoekt met een sterke bas en veel comfort.

My Denon AH-D7200 review. Hi audiophiles. My AH-D7200 were burned in for at least 200 hours and were used balanced via 4 pin XLR. My audio connective trail and set-up: 16 and 24 bit WAV uncompressed and lossless files, optical TosLink cable, Teac UD-503, Nordost Brahma power cable, Nordost Tyr XLR cables, Violectric HPA V181 headphone amplifier, Nordost Brahma power cable. So I’ve not really had many Denon cans, I’ve had more Fostex cans. Just didn’t happen but I’m so glad and pleased I got these beauties.

The overall sound quality, look, and feel of the Denon AH-D7200 are very good. As stated earlier, I think it comes down to your preferences and how comfortable these are on your head. I certainly understand and support having a closed-back set of headphones; and, if this is what's driving your decision, I would definitely recommend the AH-D7200.
