De AKG K712 PRO is een populaire studio-hoofdtelefoon die vooral wordt gewaardeerd om zijn comfort en neutrale, gedetailleerde geluidsweergave. Het lichte ontwerp en de zachte oorkussens maken hem geschikt voor lange mix- en luistersessies. De afneembare kabel en vervangbare oorkussens zijn praktisch voor professioneel gebruik. Wel is de treble vrij scherp, wat bij langdurig luisteren vermoeiend kan zijn. De bas is relatief licht, en voor het beste resultaat is een goede hoofdtelefoonversterker nodig. Door het open ontwerp lekt er veel geluid, waardoor hij minder geschikt is voor gebruik in rumoerige omgevingen. Over het algemeen is dit een uitstekende keuze voor kritische studio-toepassingen, maar minder voor casual hifi-luisteraars.

this is a very comfortable and light-weight open back headphone with a laid back and relaxed sound signature. the sound is slightly on the warm side and not totally 'neutral' like e.g. the HD600, so if you consider using these headphones for mixing you should keep this in mind! it is, however, a great headphone for music listening if you like the detailed sound of something like the HD600 but find their neutral sound bland. the AKG offer some additional oomph without sacrificing detail. Highly recommended!

I took this one around 1.5 years ago. It is the best headphones that I used ever! Great quality of sound (extremely accurate and detailed sound reproduction), ergonomics, and the great feature to connect or disconnect the cable. But it's important to say you, AKG. One thing that I don't like it is the lack of a solid case. Make it, please.

Geweldige opvolger voor mijn K701. Geluid is top aangesloten op RME ADI2 Dac. Klinkt iets voller dan K701. Ook handig dat er krulsnoer bij zit en dat je kabel kunt verwisselen. Deze was bij mijn meer dan tien jaar oude 701 namelijk stuk gegaan. Dus hopelijk gaat deze ook weer net zo lang mee.
