Al mijn tv-series, films en backups stonden op een pc met 5 x 4TB hdd's. (2x) twee 4TB hdd's staan in striped mode, dus 8TB voor zowel de tv-series als films. Voor reguliere backs had ik nog een losse 4TB schijf. Maar afhankelijk zijn van de hardware van een pc en van de striping in Windows maakte me nerveus toen er wat problemen kwamen. Uiteindelijk kwam ik tot het idee om de data buiten de pc te brengen en omdat ik voldoende ruimte wou hebben heb ik deze WD Elements van 14TB gekocht.

Excellent. Physical size is quite compact. Comes packaged in a plastic shell that I've kept as a "case". Read/write speeds are great over USB3.0.

I have bought a few of these over the years and they have never let me down.I use them in the laptop or connected to the phone allowing me to back up what I need at the time,which is great if I am on a travel as I can empty phone,camera,video camera onto the drive keeping space on my devices.Def recommended for the price and the size.Not the fastest of drives but given the fact they are usb portable drives they are fine.

Decent value for money. I reformatted the drive for use with Linux. No issues and doing what it is suppised to efficiently.
