SanDisk Extreme PRO USB4 2TB

I conducted a thorough test of the SSD (Extreme PRO with USB4 2TB) from SanDisk: According to the manufacturer, the storage medium should have a read speed of 3800 MB/s and a write speed of 3700 MB/s. According to my test with AS SSD Benchmark and other tools (see screenshots), the following values were measured: Seq read: 3308 MB/s Seq write: 3154 MB/s 4K read: 49.7 MB/s 4K write: 18.36 MB/s 4K-64Thrd read: 743.7 MB/s 4K-64Thrd write: 440.54 MB/s Access time read: 0.04 ms Access time write: 1.37 ms With CrystalDiskMark, the values naturally look a little better: Seq read: 3717.2 MB/s Seq write: 3703.8 MB/s 4K read: 56.4 MB/s 4K write: 19.4 MB/s The AS SSD score is 2478 points.

SanDisk’s Extreme Pro USB4 drive boasts a premium design and good, bursty performance. But it’s not the best performer among recent drives we’ve tested, especially when it comes to the kind of sustained writes that are often key for pro users.

Great download & transfer speeds! It does get hot though.
