CeraVe Skin Renewing Retinol Serum 30ml

What I liked about this was the fact the retinol was encapsulated and so was less irritating than straight retinol. I'd used a few other brands of straight retinol before and had alot of peeling, including with a retinol eye cream which led to peeing under my eyes and on my browbone - not nice. I thought retinol wasn't for me but then I found this CeraVe one. It was lovely to apply and I started with a few times a week initially. It didn't give me any peeling, I just had the usual retinol purge of some blemishes over the first few weeks. What I didn't like about it was that the percentage of retinol is not disclosed, so I am not sure what I was putting on my face. I stopped using it after two months as wasn't seeing any benefits. Perhaps the retinol percentage is too low. I have moved on to a retinal now. I would recomened this product to smeone new to retinols or someone like me who'd had peeling from straight retinols before and wants to try sometihng less harsh.

I was not happy with how much this product peeled before and after applying my makeup. Not worth it.

I wanted to like it. It's heavy and leaves residue. My biggest issue is how drying it is. The area around my lips get dry but it hurts now from this cream. The cream just dried out that whole area

CeraVe skin renewing retinol serum is my new addition to my night routine! I have always been cautious of retinol because of how active it is as an ingredient! Given that CeraVe is developed with dermatologist, I feel reassured that they know what is best for the skin without overly loading active ingredients. I was pleasantly surprised how effective this has been as my night routine. My skin definitely feels renewed and I wake up looking more refreshed! My skin is plump and supple ! It is very noticeable!
